Sturmey-Archer Work Finally Underway

I will need to do a post on how intimidating I am finding the cold this year (getting old?!). Thus my lack of input for my beloved BLOG.
Nevertheless, I hope for inspiration from my new weather-proof hub (weather-proof means coming home and being able to more-or-less quick-wipe my bike and come inside instead of staying in a freezing garage, soaked in sweat and cleaning the drivetrain everyday).
Once around the horn. 3x to go. My Discraft BUZZZ also getting in on some action.

Um. There shouldn't be extra nipples should there?

Laced but not yet trued-up.

  1. Nice work! Sometimes projects like that can give just the right kind of boost to face the elements with a positive mindset. Hope you enjoy it...and report back to us.

Hey where did you go? I live in Hamilton and was really enjoying your posts. Hope you are still out there enjoying your rides.

    1. :)
      I am here.
      Thanks for your interest.
I will pick up again very, very soon.
The break was necessary but this is turing out to be a lovely cycling season & I am able to reestablish the blog now.

Glad to hear it. It really has been an amazing season. I rode out to Smithville from Grimsby with a friend on Sunday, inspired by re-reading one of your older posts. What a beautiful day it was and as you mentioned there were many quiet back country roads to get there.
